Hide My Windows Mini Editor's Review

Usually, reviews are written with the intention of recommending software to our visitors. What follows will be the exact opposite: advice on how to turn down an application in order to find a better one in terms of value/functionality.

Hide My Windows Mini has a pretty appealing description for the non-professionals. The producers claim that you can use the software for privacy protection purposes. Indeed you can, and you can protect your privacy just the same without using this piece of software. Why? Because Hide My Windows Mini brings nothing noticeably new on the market. It's an application which replaces the 'Win+D' (Show Desktop) hotkey with other hotkey combination.

Basically, all that Hide My Windows Mini does is to hide/show your open windows and mute/un-mute the sound using hotkeys. Well, this actions can as well be performed using Windows commands (I am speaking about Windows 7). So, this app is pretty much useless. Considering the fact that it's a commercial application, I believe that a similar free application would be of more use, for example: Window Hide Tool

Drawbacks / flaws: Few functionality; not worth the money.

In conclusion: Hide My Windows Mini would be of more interest if it were free.
